The Hook Use this workflow to consolidate duplicate guest reservations in Alice. Merging reservations is a permanent action that cannot be undone, and any associated tickets or itineraries will be seamlessly consolidated into the remaining reservation.
Before you begin...
- Requires at least Employee User Type access.
- Must have access to the Guests tab enabled within your Roles.
- Must have access to View and Merge under Guest Information enabled within your Roles.
- Important: Check to see if the guest reservation is also duplicated within your PMS. If so, you must merge the data in the PMS before merging in Alice. Otherwise, the PMS will push the duplicate records back to Alice the next time the data is updated.
The Steps
- Select the guest reservations that need to be merged by checking the boxes to the left of the names. (Note: Up to 7 reservations can be merged at one time).
- Click Merge.
- Click the dropdown to choose the Reservation to Keep. (Note: The reservation selected here will be the only record to remain).
- Review the data in the Merged Preview section. Add any missing information, or if multiple values exist for a given field, click the link and choose the specific value to keep.
- Click Merge to finalize
The Result Success: The duplicate reservations will be permanently merged into the single selected record, and all historical data and tickets will be consolidated
