ALICE Admin: QuickStart Guide
Applies to: Hotel Managers, Administrators
Welcome to ALICE - Actabl's industry leading hotel operations platform. As an ALICE Administrator, you are in charge of the administrative functions for you ALICE platform.
To learn more about ALICE, please review the ALICE Getting Started Course.
Now that we have reviewed the Getting Started Course, as an admin, you will use ALICE to perform the following key tasks:
- User Administration
- Manage Roles and Permissions
- Manage Message Templates
- Managing Services
- Basic Fundamentals of the ALICE Desktop
Please Note: the ALICE Admin menu is designed for the Google Chrome browser. Some pages may not function in other browsers.

Please note: Depending on your property's subscription, you may or may not have access to certain features in ALICE. If you do not have access to a feature listed below, simply skip that section. Reach out to your Actabl contact if you are interested in subscribing to additional features.

User Administration: As a hotel admin, you are tasked with creating and managing the ALICE profiles for your property’s employees. Users can be created in the Admin menu as new employees join your property and can be deactivated as needed.

Managing Roles and Permissions: As the hotel admin, it is your job to determine what access your employees have within the ALICE system. Such as giving access to view certain tabs, departmental levels, and data permissions. For example, you may choose to allow front desk staff to view and create tickets but disable their ability to delete tickets. Roles and Permissions can be adjusted within the Admin menu.

Managing Message Templates: As a hotel admin, you will create and maintain message templates for your ALICE desktop users. Message Templates allow you to create consistent messaging that is on brand for your property for each user. For example, you can create a “Welcome to our property” template to be sent out to guests upon arrival.

Facilities and Services: In ALICE, facilities serve as locations or departments within your property such as the front desk or housekeeping. Each of these facilities may have services unique to it. For example, the housekeeping facility may have services for Deliver and the front desk facility may have services such as Wake Up Call. Facilities and services are created and managed within the Admin menu.

Basic Fundamentals of the ALICE Desktop: We need to make sure that we are learning all aspects of ALICE, and the main area will be the ALICE Desktop.
