The Hook When a user has 10 unsuccessful login attempts, their account will be locked to provide added security to your Alice account. Use this workflow to unlock the user account so they can regain access.
Before you begin...
- Requires at least Hotel User Admin User Type access.
- After the 10th unsuccessful login attempt, an error message will display for the user.
- All Hotel User Admins and Hotel Admins will receive an email notifying them when a user has been locked out.
- Use the Status filter to filter the user list to Locked to easily locate any locked users.
Steps:
- Select one or more users from the user list.
- Select Manage Status.
- Use the Locked checkbox - Uncheck the box to unlock a user account.
- Select Apply to save the change.
Note: The user account will be unlocked, which means they will have another 10 attempts to login successfully.
If the user does not remember their login credentials, they will once again be locked out of ALICE. The username is visible in the Users List as shown in the first column of the screenshot above. If the user has forgotten the password, it needs to be reset.
