Tickets can be created, scheduled, and linked to Inventory Items within a Logbook.
This feature is primarily used to schedule Preventative Maintenance tickets for equipment assets in the Equipment Logbook, where equipment assets are the Inventory Items
User Type & Roles:
To perform this action in ALICE, the user must have at least Employee User Type access.
The user must also have the following settings within Roles enabled.
- Access to Logbooks tab.
- Access to Add and View Tickets.
Things to Consider:
- Associated Tickets must be enabled in the account to schedule tickets from an Inventory Item. If you do not see the Associated Tickets tab within the Inventory Item details in Logbooks, please reach out support@actabl.com
Steps:
Navigate to the Logbook tab, then select a Logbook using the icons in the left column.
- Select an Inventory Item from the Logbook to view the item details.
- Select the Associated Tickets tab within the Inventory Item details.
Within the Associated Tickets section, you can add tickets, schedule tickets, and view existing tickets. Filter existing tickets by toggling between Open, Closed, or All.
Schedule Associated Tickets Individually
Within the Logbook Item details, find the Associated Ticket section.
- Select +Add under the Schedule section to access the ticket creation pop-up.
- Select a Service from the dropdown and add any relevant ticket information. Required fields are noted with an asterisk.
- Enable Roll Over if unfinished tickets should be transferred to the next consecutive day until the ticket is marked as finished/complete.
- Enable Repeat to set the ticket to repeat on a scheduled cadence.
- Select Save to create the ticket.
Best Practices:
Enabling Roll Over can help your teams ensure that tickets don’t fall through the cracks since they will show up as an open ticket every day until they are closed.
Enabling Repeat can help save time with the flexibility to schedule tickets in advance on a recurring cadence.
