The Hook Use this workflow to quickly confirm dining reservations, events, and anything that has a ticket in ALICE with just one click.
Before you begin...
- Requires access to the SMS/Chat tab in ALICE.
- A working SMS Confirmation template must already be configured for the specific ticket/service. (Note: To configure these templates, Hotel Admins and Hotel User Admins need permissions to manage Chat Message Templates).
- The text will only paste if the conversation already exists (meaning you have already sent or received a message for that specific guest reservation).
The Steps
- Navigate to the SMS/Chat tab in ALICE.
- Open a conversation with the guest whose ticket already exists in the system.
- Hover over the ticket on the Tickets panel (to the right of the chat).
- Click the SMS Confirmation icon.
- Review the SMS Confirmation template that automatically pastes into the chat’s input field.
- Click Send to quickly share the confirmation text with your guest.
The Result Success: The guest will immediately receive the confirmation text for their requested service or event.
Troubleshooting
- Note: You can create as many SMS Confirmation templates as you want, but there is a limit of 1 template per Service.
- Note: Users can also access the SMS Confirmation shortcut from the Guests tab.
- Note: SMS Confirmation templates are not available for selection in the standard Templates menu.
