Room Status Automation is a feature that streamlines the notification process of notifying a guest when their room is ready for check in. Another best practice is to send a guest message when the guest room is marked as DND. This feature using the current Guest Messaging Automation process but has been updated with a new trigger.
***It is important to note that ALICE Guest Messaging and ALICE Housekeeping must be configured at the hotel in order to use this functionality.***
Please follow the steps to set up the automation:
1. Access the ALICE Admin menu.
2. Navigate to Messaging menu > Message Automation
3. Select Add Automation
4. Fill out details accordingly - below is an example:
*** Please note Send When: Reservation - PMS Status + Room Status → This is required for the Room Ready Automation to work. ***
Ensure the checkbox for Room Ready Notification Automation is enabled.
Fill the other details as needed (Message Template and checkbox settings).
5. Click Save and ensure the automation is Enabled.
