Automation allows properties to send standardized messages when specific criteria are met, such as a "Welcome" text upon check-in or a "Room Ready" notification when housekeeping finishes a room.
Before you begin...
• Requires Hotel Admin User Type access.
• Must have Can Manage Chat Message Templates enabled in the user profile.
• PMS Integration is required for automations based on "PMS Status" (e.g., Checked In, Due In).
Configuring Message Automation
1. Navigate to Alice Admin and select Messaging > Message Automation.
2. Click Add Automation.
3. Enter an Automation Name (e.g., "Room Ready Notification").
4. Configure the Send When triggers:
◦ For General Automation: Select a Date (e.g., Reservation Start Date) or PMS Status from the dropdown menu (e.g., Checked In).
◦ For Room Ready: Select Reservation - PMS Status + Room Status. Choose "Due In" for Reservation Status and "Inspected" for Housekeeping Status.
5. Select the Message Template to send.
6. Click Save. The system will automatically send the selected template to guests who meet the defined criteria.
Note: For "Room Ready" messages to trigger, the Front Desk must manually enable the Room Ready Notification checkbox on the specific guest's reservation profile.
