The Context
These data retention settings are managed under Alice Admin > Security & Data Privacy > Data Retention Policy.
Anonymized Data Formatting Once enabled, Alice automatically anonymizes Tickets, Internal Notes, and all SMS messages containing Personal Identifiable Information (PII). The fields will display as follows:

Limits & Defaults
• Maximum retention period: 5 years.
• Minimum retention period: 1 day.
• Property boundaries: The data retention period is set on an individual property basis.
• Default status: As of April 2023, all existing customers have the policy enabled with a time parameter of 3 Years after the Check Out date, though this setting is disabled by default for new hotels.
• Notifications: An email confirmation is sent to all Hotel Admin users for the property each time the automation runs successfully.
