The Hook Use this workflow to add notes and record important information from a particular shift in the Shift Log.
Before you begin...
• Requires at least Employee User Type access.
• Requires access to the Tickets List tab enabled within your Roles.
• The Shift Log is only accessible from Alice Desktop (web) and is not accessible from the Alice Staff App (mobile).
• Note: The Shift Log must first be enabled by a Hotel Admin.
The Steps
1. Click the Shift Log button from the Ticket tab to open the Shift Log window.
2. Use the search bar to find the room number or guest name if the entry is related to a specific guest.
3. Enter your notes into the text box at the bottom of the window.
4. Select the High Priority checkbox to emphasize the note (the text will appear in bold and within a grey box).
5. Click Add Note to add the entry to the Shift Log.
6. Click End Shift to add a timestamp marking the end of your shift.
The Result Success: Your entry will be added to the Shift Log to share important information with your team.
Troubleshooting
• Note: You cannot end a shift on behalf of another user.
• Note: Any user with access to the Tickets List tab on mobile will automatically have access to add entries to the Shift Log from Alice Desktop (web). There is no way to restrict user access to the Shift Log.
