Use this workflow to set tickets to repeat based on a variety of schedule criteria, much like a recurring event in your calendar.
Before you begin...
- Applies to: Employees (Requires at least Employee User Type access).
- Requires access to the Ticket List tab and the ability to Add Tickets.
- When a ticket is set to repeat, all tickets within the repeating series are exact copies of the original ticket created. Changes made to tickets are not applied retroactively.
The Steps:
- Fill in all of the details for the ticket.

- Click the Repeat checkbox next to the Date & Time field.
- Select how often the ticket should repeat in the new window:
- After completion: The next ticket is created once the current ticket is closed out.
- Daily: Set the ticket to repeat every day, or every 1-30 days.
- Every Weekday: Set tickets to repeat on weekdays only (skips Saturdays and Sundays).
- Weekly: Set the ticket to repeat every 1-30 weeks on specified days.
- Monthly: Set the ticket to repeat every 1-30 months on a specific date or day of the week.
- Yearly: Set the ticket to repeat every 1-30 years in specified months.

4. Select the start date for tickets in the Starts On field.
5. Select an end date in the Ends field (Never, After x occurrences, or At (date)).
6. Enable the Creates only 1 ticket in advance checkbox (Leave this enabled for the best user experience when using the Alice Staff app).
7. Click Save to start generating repeating tickets.
The Result Success: Alice will automatically generate the repeating tickets based on your selected cadence.
Troubleshooting
- Note: Once saved, the repeating ticket cadence cannot be edited. The repetition must be canceled or deleted via the Repeating Ticket Manager and recreated to incorporate the change.
- Note: If you made a mistake before saving the ticket, click Edit. If you realized you need to make a change after saving the ticket, use the Repeating Ticket Manager to edit or delete the ticket series.
